Resilience and victory of Ismailia, Egypt:
While you are in the vicinity of that city, you cannot miss seeing the statues of steadfastness and victory made of shrapnel mixed with blood and fire, shrapnel mixed with human remains, and threads of light welded together. statue is designed by artist Jalal Abdo Hashem, telling the story of defeat, victory, tears and joys that Egypt went through from the year 1967 until the victories October, 1973.
And when the late artist Zozo Hamdi al-Hakim saw the Statue of Resilience while she was visiting the city of #Ismailia, she knelt on the ground, and began to read the words written on the statue’s plaque, what it represents, and what it was made of, especially since many of the fragments still bear some Hebrew letters, because the whole statue is made From the remnants of the Israeli war on the cities of the canal( 1967-1973), then she wept bitterly and said to the artist Jalal Hashem: Did this shrapnel kill one of our sons? Is this piece extracted from a house destroyed over the heads of its people? Is that piece of metal still carrying part of the body parts of our martyrs, children and women?
الصمود والنصر:
وأنت في رحاب تلك المدينة لا يفوتك أن ترى تمثالَي الصمود والنصر المصنوعين من الشظايا المخلوطة بالدم والنار، شظايا ممزوجة ببقايا بشرية، ولحامتها خيوط من نور، تمثالين للفنان المقاتل جلال عبده هاشم يحكيان قصة الهزيمة والنصر والدموع والأفراح التي مرت بها مصر من عام 67 وحتى انتصارات أكتوبر.
عندما رأت الفنانة الراحلة زوزو حمدي الحكيم تمثال الصمود وهي في زيارة لمدينة #الإسماعيلية نزلت على ركبتيها على الأرض، وأخذت تقرأ الكلام المكتوب على لوحة التمثال، ماذا يمثل، وممّ صُنع، خاصة أن العديد من الشظايا مازالت تحمل بعض الأحرف العبرية، لأن التمثال كله مصنوع من مخلّفات الحرب الإسرائيلية على مدن القناة، ثم بكت بكاء مريرًا وقالت للفنان جلال هاشم: هل هذه الشظية قتلت ابنًا من أبنائنا؟ هل هذه القطعة استخرجت من بيت تهدم فوق رؤوس أهله؟ هل قطعة الحديد تلك مازالت تحمل جزءًا من أشلاء شهدائنا من الأطفال والنساء؟
